Tell Me Lies, Hulu’s drama series based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Carola Lovering, is set to return on September 4, with the first two episodes of its second season dropping at once. The new season picks up as Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco return to university at odds with each other after a dramatic summer breakup, and their friend group grapples with the fallout of learning the truth about past relationships and a fatal car crash.
If season one was a battle, season two feels more like a war and in this interview showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer talks about how the show's has adjusted to the complex relationships of the characters and whether it's possible for people to really evolve past the person they were when they were in their twenties.
