Rebel Wilson & Harry Connick Jr. Announced As Hosts Of The AACTA Awards

The Australian Academy are elated to announce Harry Connick Jr. as host of the 2024 AACTA Industry Awards presented by Foxtel Group. The Awards will be held on Thursday 8 February at HOTA (Home of the Arts) on the Gold Coast. Connick will also present at the 2024 AACTA Awards Ceremony on Saturday 10th February 2024 hosted by Rebel Wilson.

At the AACTA Industry Awards, Connick will be supported by some of Australia’s most revered screen talent including the creators of Deadloch Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan, actors Osamah Sami, Darren Gilshenan, Lincoln Lewis, comedian Zoë Coombs Marr, TV presenter Andrew Winter, and more.

The AACTA Industry Awards will be held on Thursday 8 February followed by the AACTA Awards on Saturday 10 February. Both ceremonies, presented by Foxtel Group, will be held at the Home of the Arts (HOTA) on the Gold Coast, a destination renowned for its beauty and vibrant cultural scene. Earlier this week the Australian Academy announced Rebel Wilson as the host for the AACTA Awards Ceremony on Saturday 10 February. Joined by Oscar®, BAFTA, Golden Globe and AACTA Award winning actress and producer Cate Blanchett, internationally-renowned, Academy Award winning Director, Ron Howard, creators and stars of Colin From Accounts, Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer, actress and producer Leah Purcell, comedians Tom Gleeson, Melanie Bracewell and Tim McDonald, TV royalty Julia Zemiro, Rove McManus and Grant Denyer among others.

The 2024 AACTA Awards Ceremony will be broadcast on Channel Ten at 7pm AEDT, Saturday 10 February. A special director’s cut including all awards from the ceremony will be available at 7:30pm on Sunday 11 February on BINGE and Foxtel On-Demand and on AACTA TV.

The AACTA Awards ceremonies form part of AACTA Festival, a four-day celebration of Australia’s vibrant screen industry. With more than 90 events, AACTA Festival will present a dynamic array of panels, meet-and-greet, screenings and activities offering a place for the Australian screen industry to connect from February 8-11, 2024. Many nominees and winners from the AACTA Awards will be presenting on panels and discussions throughout the Festival.
