Canal+'s Revenues Are Growing, But The Company Has Stopped Disclosing The Number Of Subscribers (Wirtualnemedia.pl)
Canal+ Group's revenues increased by 5.7%. in the third quarter of 2023 and by 3.9 percent in the first nine months of the year. This was driven by the strong performance of Studiocanal and the pay TV segment in France. Unlike previous quarters, the company did not disclose the number of subscribers.
Miramax’s ‘Prêt-à-Porter’ TV Series Moves From Paramount+ To The BBC; Remains In Development (Deadline)
Miramax’s high-profile TV series remake of Robert Altmann’s Prêt-à-Porter has shifted development from Paramount+ to the BBC. The project from The Great writer Ava Pickett is now in early-stage development with the British public broadcaster and Paramount+ is no longer involved. The BBC project is in its early stages and hasn’t yet set cast.
Prime Video & Germany’s ARD Take In South Africa-Based Drama ‘The Morning After’ (TBIVision)
Prime Video is ramping up its offering in sub-Saharan Africa with the pick-up of local drama The Morning After, which has also been acquired by Germany’s ARD. The eight-part dramedy follows the life of a young singer from the UK who mysteriously washes up on the shores of a Cape Town beach.
SES Renews NFL Distribution (Advanced-Television)
SES has renewed its partnership with the National Football League (NFL) to deliver game content to over 35 broadcast partners across Europe, Asia, North and South America. In order to meet NFL’s requirements, SES says it has offered a unique combination of IP-based transport protocol (SRT) and its global satellite fleet to deliver all game content.
RTVE’s La1 Cooks Up ‘Celebrity Bake Off’ As Prime Video Run Ends (TBIVision)
Spanish broadcaster RTVE is preparing to launch a new version of Celebrity Bake Off, following its cancellation by Prime Video in the country. The Love Productions format is sold by BBC Studios and is being produced in Spain by Boxfish, which was also behind the Prime Video show.

Germany: Local TV portal On Vestel TVs (Advanced-Television)
Bayerische Medien Technik (BMT), in cooperation with Vestel, is improving local and regional content in Germany. The Local TV portal, which provides easy access to many live streams of local TV programmes and open channels in Germany, is now also available as an app on the Vestel TV platforms LINUX, Android TV and Fire TV.
New Ukrainian Film Channel Debuts (Broadband TV News)
Film.UA Group has launched a film channel wholly dedicated to Ukrainian cinema. Known as Prokino, it is already being offered by Viasat, Sweet TV, Triolan, Kyivstar TV and 45 other regional providers, with its exclusive distributor being 1+1 Media Distribution.
