Cinedigm Tops 640,000 SVOD Subs In Q1 2021

On Wednesday, Cinedigm accounced that it ended the first quarter of 2021 with 640,000 paid video subscriber, up 574% year-over-year.

The company's total streaming viewer footprint reached about 23.8 million monthly active ad-supported viewers across Cinedigm’s digital networks distributed via linear Free Ad-supported TV (FAST) and ad-supported VOD, up more than 208% year-over-year.

Cinedigm operates 14 SVOD and AVOD networks, including Bumbu (which focuses on content from China, Hong Kong & Taiwan), Dove Channel (religious-oriented family-friendly programing), CON tv and CON tv Anime, The Bob Ross Channel and the Film Detective. The company has also recently acquired the assets of the shuttered streaming services Fandor and Screambox, which it plans to relaunch in late 2021.

"Major brands and media companies approaching us regularly to assist them in developing streaming strategies that most effectively monetize their properties and attract new audiences," said Erick Opeka, chief strategy officer and president, in a staement. "We have added four new OTT channels, more than 15,000 movies and TV episodes and a leading streaming technology company with a strong base in the fast-growing South Asian market in just the last 5 months."
