Three executives have been promoted to senior level marketing positions at Scripps Networks; all three report to Keisha Taylor Starr, Chief Marketing Officer, Scripps Networks.
Larry Morris has been named vice president of the newly created Scripps Networks Marketing Creative Studio. Morris now oversees the creation of all promotion, brand design, editorial and sponsored content and their studio operations and post-production for the Scripps Networks Marketing Creative Studio. He is a veteran creative leader with more than 25 years of marketing and production experience. He joined Scripps Networks from WarnerMedia, where he served as Creative Director for Cartoon Network and TNT while holding previous similar positions with AMC Networks for IFC: Independent Film Channel, as well as with Viacom for Nickelodeon and SYFY.
Sherry Pitkofsky has been elevated to vice president, brand strategy and marketing. In her new role, Pitkofsky leads the team responsible for managing the strategy, marketing, and development of the Scripps Networks portfolio of entertainment and news brands around viewership, revenue, communications, and distribution. Previously, she was the vice president, ad sales marketing for Katz Networks, leading the execution of a fully integrated corporate marketing strategy and closing business with strategic partners including McDonald’s, Toyota, Unilever, GM, and Pepsi. Pitkofsky has over 20 years of brand marketing experience. Before joining Scripps/Katz, she led marketing teams at AMC Networks (WE tv), NBCUniversal (Bravo), Defy Media, Estrella TV, and Conde Nast.
Eric Svenson has been promoted to vice president, audience development. In his new capacity, Svenson oversees a team responsible for audience acquisition, retention, and engagement across owned media channels, including on-air, social, web, and email, in addition to paid, partner and barter media. Svenson has more than 30 years of consumer and B2B experience spanning broadcast television, over-the-air, and over-the-top streaming as well as digital media and e-commerce enterprises. Before joining Scripps, he was Senior Director of Digital Strategy for Rockfish Digital, a WPP-owned agency, where he developed digital marketing strategies for clients including Procter & Gamble, PepsiCo, General Mills, and The Kroger Company. Svenson has also held senior-level marketing positions at Meredith Corporation, Epsilon Abacus, F+W Media, and New Track Media.
