The Amazon-owned AVOD service IMDb TV has picked up the two seasons of the comedy Timewasters, which previously aired on ITV2.

Season one of the show aired in 2017 and season two aired in 2019.

In the series, a struggling four-piece South London jazz band time travels via a urine-soaked elevator in a dilapidated block of flats. In the first season, the band travels to 1920s high-society London – encountering pop culture luminaries, historical figures and every day citizens - and in the second season the time-traveling quartet are transported to London in the 1950s. Met with strange stares and genuine curiosity in both eras, the group hilariously navigates the clash of cultures and social conventions all while exploring worlds that are, at once, both incredibly familiar and painfully foreign.

The half hour series was created and written by Daniel Lawrence Taylor and was produced by Big Talk Productions, along with Barunka O'Shaughnessy. The series is distributed by Endeavor Content.

ABC is developing a U.S. version of the show, written by A Black Lady Sketch Show's Lauren Ashley Smith.
