Synopsis: Komugi Yamashita (Suzu Hirose) has lived with just her father, a former police officer, since her mother passed away when she was a child. She is now a university student and enjoys a simple daily life. She is a kind-hearted person, who feels happiness when eating ramen at a small restaurant with her father. He always believes in her, no matter what. But, one day, her father is murdered by someone. A man is arrested for her father's murder and the arrested man is the only son of the man who was arrested by Komugi Yamashita's father 22 years ago as the culprit of a brutal murder of a family.

Komugi Yamashita's father has left behind a last letter to her. According to his letter, he already knew that he would be killed and lists the names of people who if they are arrested and indicted for his death, they are innocent. The list includes the name of the suspect who has been arrested for the murder of Komugi Yamashita's father. Why was her beloved father murdered? Komugi Yamashita agonizes over the facts that are slowly revealed, but she still believes in her father and goes after the truth. Meanwhile, Yoshiteru Matsukaze (Kenichi Matsuyama) works as a lawyer for criminal cases. One day, he receives a visit from Komugi Yamashita with a request, because Yoshiteru Matsukaze's name is listed in the letter from her father. At first, Yoshiteru Matsukaze thinks the situation is weird, because he never met Komugi Yamashita's father or had any contact with him, but, seeing Komugi Yamashita's faith in her late father, he decides to help her.
