First Look: 'Tracking Thabo Bester'

African streamer Showmax is premiering a documentary that tells the unbelievable true story of a convicted murderer and rapist who faked his own death by burning in his cell and escaped prison for a year.

Thabo Bester was in the Mangaung Correctional Centre on murder and rape charges and was believed to have burned to death in his cell in 2022. 

The limited run documentary series Tracking Thabo Bester tells the story of how he ended up in prison and the investigation that led to the discovery that he was still alive.
