Show Guide: 'Renovation Aloha'

Synopsis: A new 12-episode season of Renovation Aloha will follow husband-and-wife renovation duo Tristyn and Kamohai Kalama as they revitalize the most dilapidated houses in their home state of Hawaii. Throughout the season, the Kalamas, who were born and raised on the island of Oahu, will face their toughest challenges yet, including: rat infestations, squatter evictions and property with a shocking lava tube discovery beneath the lot. Tristyn and Kamohai will take their flipping business even further, while tackling a massive multi-home project in Hilo and helping a family who lost their home in the Maui fires rebuild. Married home renovators Tristyn and Kamohai Kalama will transform the most dilapidated properties on the island of Oʻahu into beautiful family homes in the new HGTV series Renovation Aloha. The eight-episode season will follow the couple, who were born and raised on the island, as they tackle substantial renos in one of the most expensive states in the country. Luckily, Tristyn and Kamohai can rely on a helping hand from their large family, which includes 87 first cousins, many of whom are in the construction industry.

Season Two Episode Guide (HGTV)
Husband-and-wife renovation duo Tristyn and Kamohai Kalama will take their Hawaiian house flipping business to the next level in season two of the hit HGTV series Renovation Aloha. Throughout the 10-episode season, the Kalamas, who were born and raised on the island of Oahu, will encounter a host of high-pressure challenges from black mold and break-ins to crumbling foundations, all while tackling a new set of dilapidated properties on the island including their most expensive project ever and their first project on the Big Island of Hawaii. In each episode, they’ll rely on the support of their large extended family, including 87 first cousins, to revitalize some of the gnarliest houses in Hawaii into beautiful family homes for generations to come.

In the season opener, Tristyn and Kamohai will purchase an abandoned 1950’s home sight unseen with plans to renovate the property in 12 weeks. Upon inspection, they discover the roof and floor will need extensive repairs, and they will need to remove a slew of junk cars strewn across the property. While racing against their 12-week deadline, the Kalamas learn a duplex they renovated in the same neighborhood fell out of escrow, which will cost them thousands in profit as they find a new buyer.
