Major Media Companies Pull Ads From Twitter/X Following Elon Musk Tweet

Sony is the latest major media company to pause advertising on Twitter/X in the wake of reports that the site has let spots run next to pro-Nazi content.

Media Matters originally broke the story, which claimed that companies such as IBM, Apple, Comcast Xfinity, Oracle and Bravo had advertising running adjacent to tweets that expressed pro-Nazi sentiments.

Musk himself has also come under fire for amplifying an antisemitic post.

On Thursday, a group of 150-plus Jewish leaders called for large media and digital companies to "stop funding X through their ad spend," calling Musk and X a "danger."

Here is the current list of major media companies which announced they have suspended advertising buys on the platform:

Sony Pictures
Comcast/NBCUniversal
Paramount Global
Warner Bros Discovery
The Walt Disney Company
Apple
Lionsgate
