STARZ has unveiled the launch of its daring new marketing campaign emboldened by the tagline, "We’re All Adults Here.” It was announced today by Alison Hoffman, President of Domestic Networks, STARZ, during the network’s Television Critics Association presentation in Pasadena, Calif.
In an era where TV tends to be in the something for everyone business, STARZ proudly stands apart with curated fare meant for discerning adult audiences, anchored by women and Black viewers. The campaign embodies the network’s commitment to provide sophisticated, inclusive and layered narratives that challenge, entertain and inspire.
The tagline fully articulates the new brand strategy across linear and streaming platforms and reflects a dedication to exploring complex themes, encouraging meaningful conversations, and presenting stories that resonate with the varied experiences of adult life. At STARZ, thrillers are thrilling, action is full-throttle, and lust and desire are presented with intention and always in service to the story.
To evoke the energy and attitude inherent in this edgy, dynamic campaign, STARZ joined forces with New York based Loyalkaspar, and UK based Zealot, and Adam&EveDDB to handle design, video and strategic platform work respectively. Rolling out in several phases beginning July 15, the campaign will include executions in digital, TV, social (including organic and paid influencer content and user-generated posts), and out of home installations in primary tastemaker markets including New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta.
“We’re All Adults Here’ is more than just a tagline; it’s a promise to viewers that STARZ will always push the envelope and spark conversation,” said Jimmy Hilburn, Chief Marketing Officer, STARZ. “The word ‘Adult’ can be a loaded term, but our intent with this campaign is to deliberately draw attention to the sophisticated tastes of our audience and showcase how our provocative programming delivers for them.”
The ongoing campaign, which is elevated by Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble'' track, will include programming across STARZ’s robust slate including engaging, fan-favorite titles, both originals and acquisitions, that speak to cinematic excellence and the powerful franchises and popular IP synonymous with the STARZ brand. Upcoming 2024 programming includes: “Down in the Valley” (premiered July 5, hosted and executive produced by “P-Valley”’s Nicco Annan), season two of The “Serpent Queen” (premiering July 12), part two of season four “Power Book II: Ghost” (premiering September 6), new drama series “Three Women” (premiering September 13), and the highly anticipated back half of season seven of “Outlander” (premiering November 22).
