Viu Unveils Ramadan 2026 Lineup

The streaming service Viu has unveiled its premium offering for Ramadan 2026: a curated slate of 12 Arabic dramas "spanning social drama, thrillers, comedy, and psychological suspense, these stories explore themes of love and loss, ambition and betrayal, family pressures, moral dilemmas, and the consequences of one’s irreversible choice."

Viu is available across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa and is offered to consumers through a dual model, with an ad-supported free tier and a premium subscription tier. In addition to premium original productions under the brand “Viu Original”, Viu showcases TV series, movies, and lifestyle programs from top content providers in local and regional languages with subtitles.

“This Ramadan, Viu presents a rich and diverse lineup of Arabic series designed to engage every audience and suit every viewing preference," said Samer Majzoub, Country Manager, Viu Middle East, in a statement announcing the programming slate. "By offering a wide range of genres and stories that reflect the region’s voices, we are reinforcing our commitment to being the go-to streaming platform for audiences across the MENA region during the holy month and beyond.”

Among the highlights is Ali Klay, starring Ahmed El Awady. Following the success of Fahd El Batal last Ramadan, El Awady returns in a highly anticipated action drama. Ali Klay follows Ali, an adopted orphan who fights his way out of a world steeped in corruption and hardship. Inspired by Muhammad Ali and driven by a passion for boxing, he rises to become a successful businessman committed to giving back by opening an orphanage. But when betrayal strikes from within his own family, Ali gains an unexpected ally in Rouh – setting him onto a relentless path of justice, reckoning, and revenge.
