Review: 'Iron Chef Eats'

If you're familiar with Food Network shows such as "The Best Thing I Ever Ate," then "Iron Chef Eats" will seem very familiar to you. This is essentially the same show, just featuring chefs who are either an Iron Chef, competed on the show "Iron Chef" or who are a contestant on the new series "Iron Chef Gauntlet." In other words, a group that is comprised of about 90% of the entire Food Network talent base.

Otherwise, there's nothing particularly interesting about the show. Each episode has a theme, such as "Burgers." And four or five chefs each sit in a studio and discuss a favorite burger joint over a bunch of footage shot by some anonymous cameraperson.

There's nothing wrong with the show per se. But honestly, it's about as close to watching paint dry as you can get while showing footage of food cooking.
