New On Shudder: October 2016

The Horror-oriented SVOD Shudder is adding to its television titles on October, with both new offerings exclusive to the service. All four seasons of "Tales From The Darkside" join Lars von Trier’s acclaimed miniseries, "The Kingdom," as Shudder’s first forays into streaming series. Executive produced and occasionally written and directed by George A. Romero, "Tales From The Darkside" is an essential anthology, four seasons full of terror, twists and wicked grins that continue the EC-atmosphere Romero dived into in "Creepshow." With episodes adapted from the likes of Clive Barker, Stephen King, Robert Bloch, Harlan Ellison and Fredric Brown, and featuring the work of FX master Tom Savini, "Darkside" is bubbling with horror pedigree. That’s not to mention appearances from the likes of Tippi Hedren, Carol Kane and Debbie Harry.

Shudder is also adding an exclusive miniseries, "Beyond The Walls." A haunting, three-episode journey into a house far more expansive than you can imagine, "Beyond The Walls" is a visionary French horror series, in which a therapist with a troubled past inherits a mysterious old house across the street. But on her first night inside, Lisa finds a hallway that leads to a shape-shifting parallel dimension more terrifying than her darkest dreams.
