Knoxville Nationals Winged Sprint Cars Attracts The Stars

Don't miss the broadcast premier of the 57th annual, 2017 Knoxville Nationals airing Saturday night, October 14 at 7:00pm ET. This 1-hour broadcast (recorded August 12, 2017), follows the fortunes of more then 50 of the best winged sprint car drivers in the world making their annual pilgrimage to Knoxville, Iowa, to chase down one of the most prestigious and richest Sprint Car titles in history.

Check out Kyle Larson, Rico Abreu, Daryn Pittman, Cory Eliason, Donny Schatz and an Australian contingent led by Brooke Tatnell in action on the semi-banked half-mile dirt oval. These winged sprint car veterans battled through four days of qualifying, heat races and semi-main events just to earn one of the 24 starting positions for a 50-lap finale worth $150,000 to the winner.

The main event features three-wide racing from the green flag on. A caution flag with 12 laps to go sets up one of the more memorable finishes in recent years. Watch 9-time race winner Donny Schatz trying to notch his 10th title while holding off a hard charging Kyle Larson.
