Nationally syndicated talk show “Maury,” hosted by Maury Povich, will begin its 20th anniversary season with NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution on Monday, September 18th.
To celebrate its 20th season “Maury” will expand the exclusive content that will be developed for its social media platforms. In “Maury’s Social Sit-Down,” Povich will venture outside the typical “Maury” topics to interview individuals tied to current events and pop culture. In addition, Povich will be even more accessible to fans, by hosting weekly, Facebook Live sessions.
The “Maury” brand will also hit the road with “The Truth Truck.” The truck will crisscross the United States to give fans an interactive experience with one of the show’s most iconic segments. They will administer lie detector tests to fans of “Maury” to reveal the truth on lighthearted issues, saving the serious questions about paternity and fidelity for the show.
“Just like a good marriage, I like to take it one decade at a time,” said Povich, on this achievement. “So, now we're entering our third decade, I hope it's as good as the last two!”

For the 2016-17 television season, “Maury” delivered an average of 2.2 million daily viewers and ranked as one of the top syndicated talk shows in ratings among women 18-34 (#1) and women 18-49 (#2). It also continues to attract a young audience by ranking as the #1 or #2 syndicated talk show among adults 18-34 and adults 18-49 for six consecutive seasons.
“Maury” is executive produced by Paul Faulhaber. “Maury” is distributed in national syndication by NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution and produced by Stamford Media Center Productions, the same production team behind successful NBCU talk shows including “The Jerry Springer Show,” and “The Steve Wilkos Show.”
