Without spoiling too much, last night's episode of HBO's "Silicon Valley" culminated with the release of young developer Jian-Yang's octopus recipes app. Which by now has turned into an app that can identify food. Although it's a bit limited in its use, since it can only identify hot dogs.
That "Not Hotdog" app is now available for download in the U.S. on Apple iOS app store and it is delightfully dumb as you can imagine.
There's no real point for it to actually exist, but it's a fun distraction on a very busy Monday morning.
