As it turns out, not everyone is ready to return to the four theme parks that make up Orlando Florida's Disney World. On Friday, the parks announced they will be temporarily cutting back hours until at least October.

The Disney World parks - Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studio, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and EPCOT - all closed in March due to the COVID-19 outbreak. They reopened in July, with new guidelines that limited the number of people in the park and well as changes in food consumption and an emphasis on social distancing. But attendance has remained soft at the parks, and during an investor call on Tuesday, Walt Disney CEO Bob Chapek and CFO Christine McCarthy said that Walt Disney World has seen an increased number of cancellations in recent weeks. The executives admitted the rate of cancellations was higher than anticipated, which has led to the decision to temporarily reduce hours at the parks.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is now closing at 5:00 p.m., EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios close at 7:00 p.m. and Magic Kingdom will close at 6:00 p.m.
